Trust Twinkle Khanna to never let a joke pass, amirite? The ex-actress-turned-designer-author has always been open about how she realised she wasn’t cut out to be in the movies. She also doesn’t shy away from looking back at her films and passing a few self-depreciating quips on her performance or the film itself! Just recently, she posted a picture of a truck which had a poster of her film ‘Mela’ on it and she jokes that she doesn’t know whether it left a ‘scar’ or a ‘mark’ on her and the entire country.
The picture, which seemed like a Whatsapp forward features Tinu Verma, who played the villain Gujjar in the film. She writes, “Certain things, I suppose, are timeless! This popped up in my messages today and what can I say except Mela has certainly left a mark or a scar, whichever way you look at it, on me and the rest of the nation:)”
Have a look at the post:
Many of her followers took to the comment section and wrote that Mela was epic for the crazy dialogues by the villain, Gujjar. Archana Puran Singh commented, “Many of us Tina. Scarred forever. But it’s amazing this is on the back of a truck! Did Tinnu pay?”.
Back in March too, Twinkle tweeted about Mela in relation to a tweet by historian and author, Ramchandra Guha. He had mentioned that the Ram Navami mela should not be allowed to happen amidst the coronavirus pandemic and agreeing to that, Twinkle wrote, “Melas, by and large, can be hazardous to health- I would know :)”
