The COVID-19 pandemic has turned our lives upside down since it came around in March. And from then on, a lot of our favourite celebrities have also been subject to it as well. From Amitabh Bachchan and SS Rajamouli to now, actor Chiranjeevi, among many others.
Veteran Telugu actor, Chiranjeevi was set to start shoot on his upcoming film, Acharya. As a protocol before that, he got himself tested and unfortunately turned out to be COVID-19 positive. He informs that he was asymptomatic and that has home-quarantined himself.
In the note he posted, he also advised whoever was in contact with him in the last five days to also get tested.
Have a look at his post:
This is not the first case of the virus that Chiranjeevi’s family is seeing. Just a few months ago, Chiranjeevi’s brother, Nagababu tested positive for COVID-19.
Talking about Acharya, the film is being directed by Koratala Siva and Chiranjeevi is reportedly set to play a double role in it. The film was previously going to star Trisha in the female lead, but she opted out of it due to creative differences.
We wish the actor a speedy recovery and can’t wait to see him back to work on the film very soon!
