Nimrat Kaur was raised in an army household so entertaining the thought of being an actor was a questionable dream. Of course, Nimrat has struggled to arrive at this point and it seems that my favourite song Tera Mera Pyaar was the turning point of her career. She received heavy criticism about her features not being Indian enough or homely enough. It’s sad that the industry thrives on putting people in boxes without truly ever giving them a fair shot. But then, she did lunchbox and that got her a role as an ISI agent on Homeland. Nimrat has also been in the news fairly recently discussing the drug probe against Bollywood. She urges people to only form their opinions once substantial evidence is provided about what’s truly going on
On the work front, Nimrat Kaur will be seen in Dinesh Vijan’s next production titled Dasvi. The film already stars Abhishek Bachchan and Yami Gautam. This will mark her return to the silver screen after four long years. The actress’s last stint was Airlift opposite Akshay Kumar. She was also part of Ekta Kapoor’s web show The Test Case which happens to be returning with season 2 shortly.
Let’s talk about Nimrat Kaur’s midi-dress look some more:
Nimrat Kaur steps out in a black midi-dress with an all-over floral print. The georgette dress features an A-line silhouette, an empire waistline and subtle bishop sleeves. The bishop sleeve trend is coming back in full swing and I am thoroughly enjoying the different dramatic sleeves we’ve been seeing from B-town. The round neck dress also has a mix of floral and geometric motifs in blue, orange and white colours. She accessorises her look with beige mocassin style flats and matches them to her face mask. And for the final touch, she opts for a Saint Laurent Loulou Puffer shoulder bag that costs approximately 1.5 lakh rupees. Ladies, this is a great look to adapt when doing date night virtually because it’s super comfortable, elegant and easy to accessorise chest up. I would add a necklace or hoops or even experiment with statement accessories.
Nimrat Kaur pulls her hair away from her face into a nice highish ponytail. I quite like her with her hair pulled back in general because she has such a gorgeous bone structure. For her makeup, it seems like she opts for a subtle brown eye shadow and filled-in brows complete her look. Frankly, this is perfect date night makeup, just add a quick wing liner and a smudge of lip tint and you are done, ladies. And don’t forget to load up on the mascara to bat those lashes at your man.
