Winter hasn’t exactly kickstarted and the confusing weather makes you feel chilly one day and humid the next. For an in-between weather like this, opting for clothes that are light on the skin with a relaxed fit and exude a balmy vibe is an apt choice. No? The cover star of Cosmopolitan India‘s digital issue, Athiya Shetty thinks so, too. The actress who is currently quarantining in Khandala with her family gave her fans and followers a peek of the luscious scenery she is surrounded with, courtesy of the shoot. Which brings me to say, Athiya’s cover shoot will transport you to a hill station but during the summer when the climate is perfectly balanced between balmy and chilly. Thanks to her choice of outfits for enhancing that vibe and in fact putting us all in a holiday mood!
Scroll ahead for all of our favourite looks from Athiya’s cover shoot:
For her cover photo, Athiya rummaged through her wardrobe and picked a dainty, cotton, white maxi dress. The dress was decorated with black floral print with hints of blue and yellow. The sleeveless number featured playful frills and ruffled tiers making it perfect for the summers! Athiya skipped on accessories for this look and added went pretty neutral with her makeup, too. Blush pink eyeshadow with light link lips and open mane concluded her look.
Look number 2 was slightly different. As opposed to posing against the greenery, Athiya posed while lounging on the couch wearing easy-going separates. A lilac-hued, one-shoulder cropped-top from Urban Outfitters and flared, white, cotton trousers from Topshop were her picks. And might we ask, is there a better outfit as loungewear in a place like Khandala? We think not! Athiya accessorised her look with massive hoops and a gold bracelet. For her beauty, she went with blushed cheeks and mauve lips leaving her hair open.
Outfit number 3 by Summer Somewhere was a bright pop of surprise, thanks to the poppy orange shorts. Teaming the shorts with an oversized white shirt made for a semi-formal look that’ll guarantee you all sorts of sartorial compliments. The shorts featured chunky white button detailing adding a hint of oomph to the look. Thick gold hoops and a stack of gold bracelets rounded off her outfit!
Giving off a romantic vacation vibe was Athiya’s alluring blue maxi dress from Summer Somewhere that’ll be your go-to outfit for a date night. The strappy number was adorned with printed florals that came with a thigh-high, frilly slit. The sleek dress did absolute justice in accentuating the actor’s curves. Leaving her dress to take the front seat, Athiya picked a pair of mini hoops and golden bracelets to complete her look. Beauty-wise, a neutral, dewy look was favoured yet again.
Posing against a backdrop of lush green with a rustic accent, Athiya’s final outfit for the shoot was another breezy number you need to bookmark for a tropical holiday. Picked from Summer Somewhere, the pristine white dress featured a front-knot detailing. And is definitely a number for a minimalist’s wardrobe. Leaving the dress to do most of the talking, Athiya skipped on accessories and went with a dewy look, again.
