Varun Dhawan has rubbished the reports about his father and filmmaker David Dhawan working on a remake of the 1982’s Amitabh Bachchan superhit, Namak Halaal.
The actor took to his Twitter to share the update. It was accompanied by a link that claimed that David was working on the remake with his son leading the film.
Varun Dhawan’s tweet read, “Guys u can write how many ever make belief stories about me but don’t make up things about my dad. This is a completely fabricated story … will see u (on) Christmas to make u laugh,”.

Recently, the Student Of The Year actor completed eight years in the film industry, and wrote a thank you note for his fans.
Varun’s tweet read “It’s been eight years since this journey began between me and you. Thank you for believing in me when no one did. I remember every city I toured. The signs, letters, gifts, tattoos and most Importantly the love.”
He further added, “When I cried, you cried when I laughed, you laughed but most importantly I know you cared for everything I did and that’s the most important thing. Be safe.”
The actor is all set to return alongside Sara Ali Khan in the remake of 1995’s”Coolie No. 1″, helmed by David Dhawan. The film is releasing on Amazon Prime Video on Christmas.
