Though superstar Salman Khan wrapped up the shoot of the much-awaited film, Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai last week, his fans will have to be patient for another seven months to see him on the silver screen. According to a report by MidDay, the Prabhudheva-helmed venture will release on Eid 2021. The film was originally scheduled for an Eid 2020 release but due to the pandemic, the dates were postponed. The report suggests that the date of release was apparently decided during a meeting on Monday which included Salman and co-producers Atul Agnihotri, Sohail Khan and Nikhil Namit.
The report also added that initially, the makers were planning to release the film over the Republic Day weekend.
The publication quoted a source close to the development as saying—
However, they were discouraged by the low footfall in theatres ever since they reopened at 50 per cent capacity in several states. Considering Radhe is a big-budget movie, the makers calculated that it will earn in the ballpark of Rs 120 crore, if released in the current circumstances. Taking this into account, the entire team — including its worldwide distributors Yash Raj Films — felt it would be wise to release it on May 12, 2021, thus keeping Salman’s tradition of Eid offerings alive.
Apart from Salman Khan, the film also features Disha Patani, Randeep Hooda and Jackie Shroff among others.
