Kangana Ranaut’s Ethnic Looks Strike The Balance Between Pizzaz And Subtlety

Sakshi Kore

The year 2020 is coming to an end and that means it’s time for the festive season. For Indians, it starts off with Navratri and finally ends with Diwali. But along with these festivities, this auspicious time of the year is usually also bustling with intimate to grand and lavish weddings. And it’s no different this year. Except for the fact that the gusto is slightly toned down. Speaking of which, Kangana Ranaut who has spent a majority of her time under lockdown with her family is currently busy with her cousin’s wedding. The actor took to her Instagram to share snippets of the Haldi ceremony and the actual wedding ceremony in two stunning ethnic outfits. Keep scrolling for more details about her looks.

In Rimple and Harpreet

Styled by Ami Patel, the actress, for the Haldi ceremony donned a kurta and salwar made by Rimple and Harpreet. Against the mauve backdrop of her outfit were the geometric floral motifs in white mixed with intricate embroidery made with Kasaab-dori marodi ka kaam. Kangana completed her look with a straight-cut salwar featuring the same form of embroidery in a rich, paisley-like design. A mauve, embroidered dupatta added just the finishing touch to her festive look. The actress tied the look together with embellished juttis and vintage jhumkas with minakari details, borrowed from her mother.

As for her beauty, Kangana opted for black smokey eyes with a hint of pink. Blush pink lips, flushed cheeks and hair loosely clipped at the back with soft waves grazing her shoulders rounded off her look. To elevate the look further, she adorned her hair with red roses.

In Lajjoo C

For the wedding, Kangana opted for a sage blue lehenga set from Lajjoo C‘s Resham spring/summer 2020 collection. The statement-making set comprised a silk blouse covered in off-white blooms crafted using jaal embroidery. And a floor-grazing, chanderi lehenga with tiny block-printed blooms and embellishments. The gota border and metallic tissue detailing of the lehenga were the standout elements of the silhouette. She tied the look together with an organza dupatta that also came with gota work. In the accessory department, Kangana wore a beaded choker with an emerald pendant and pearl-drop earrings.

For her hair and makeup, Kangana opted for bronzy eyes with generous use of kohl and eyeliner. Blushed cheeks and candy pink lips completed her makeup. As for her mane, she left them open in soft curls.
