The much-awaited Ayushmann Khurrana-Vaani Kapoor starrer has got a name. On Wednesday, it was confirmed that the movie helmed by Abhishek Kapoor is titled Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui.
Taking to his Instagram, Ayushmann expressed his excitement at kick-starting the shooting for the film in his hometown, Chandigarh. His caption read “Next stop: My hometown Chandigarh for the first time. Excited to be a part of Abhishek Kapoor’s delightful progressive love story #ChandigarhKareAashiqui.”

Along with it, the actor shared a picture of himself posing along with filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor and leading lady, Vaani.
The film is touted to be a love story in which Ayushmann plays a ‘cross-functional athlete’. Talking about the film, the actor had earlier told Bombay Times, “Abhishek has a distinct voice in cinema today, and I’m glad that we finally got the opportunity to work together on a project that’s close to my heart. This beautiful love story will take viewers on an emotional roller-coaster ride and it is a total family entertainer.”
Ayushmann Khurrana was last seen in Shoojit Sircar‘s Gulabo Sitabo alongside megastar Amitabh Bachchan. While Vaani Kapoor’s last outing was in Siddharth Anand‘s War which starred Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff.
