The cast and crew of Matt Reeves’ The Batman were spotted on sets of the film in the UK on Monday. Lead actor Robert Pattinson was seen shooting for what looked like a funeral scene with his co-actors including Colin Farrell, John Turturro and Zoe Kravitz. The film’s shoot was brought to halt after Robert had tested positive for the COVID-19 in September.
Colin looked unrecognisable as Penguin, credits go to his prosthetic makeup. Zoe who will be seen playing Selina Kyle or Catwoman was seen donning a black leather dress. The actress was seen walking with John who is portraying, Carmine Falcon.
The shooting of the film was resumed in mid-September. While Warner Brothers did not divulge as to which member of the crew had tested positive for the virus, it was widely reported that Robert had. In a statement, the representative of Warner Bros was quoted as saying—“Following a hiatus for COVID 19 quarantine precautions, filming has now resumed on The Batman in the U.K”.
According to Hollywood trade outlets the film has about 3 months of material left for the shoot. The Batman’s release was postponed to October 2021 from June 2021. And it was last week when the makers announced that the release has been pushed to May 2022.
