Superstar Akshay Kumar‘s schedule is jam-packed even during the pandemic. Now according to a report by MidDay, the actor who is currently shooting for Bell Bottom in Scotland will dive straight into the shoot of Prithviraj when he returns to Mumbai.
The filming of the historical action drama had come to a halt in March due to the coronavirus induced lockdown. In May, fearing the rains would destroy the outdoor set-up, the makers had dismantled the grand set of a 12th-century palace in Dahisar. Now, helmer Chandraprakash Dwivedi and producer Aditya Chopra have asked the team to kickstart the groundwork so that the film, based on the ruler of the Chahamana dynasty, can resume the work.
According to the publication, a trade source was quoted as saying—
From October 1, the production design team will begin constructing two sets — the palace will be recreated in a ground in Jogeshwari, with another small set-up at Madh island. Considering it’s an event film, Adi has instructed his team to ensure that the grandeur of the subject is not lost. The smooth shoot of Bunty Aur Babli 2 has boosted the confidence of the production house, and Adi is sure the team will be able to shoot the big-budget movie despite the restrictions.
Produced by Yash Raj Films, this film will also mark the debut of Manushi Chillar. The film will also star Manav Vij, Ashutosh Rana among others.
