John Abraham is one actor who has carved a nichè for himself in all the years in the film industry. From being a model, to now being an actor and producer with some great films to his name, he has come a long way.
Recently, post the unfortunate death of actor, Sushant Singh Rajput, the insider-outsider debate has been raging among netizens. In a conversation with SpotBoyE, John opened up about his thoughts on the debate, saying no matter what, each person will have to work their way to the top and that everyone has their own struggle in life.
Calling it terms coined by the ‘twitterati’, he said:
I don’t subscribe to such terms. This is your Twitter trending culture. I believe every individual, be it an insider or outsider, has his/ her own battles to fight. Whether you are gracious about it or bitter, it’s your decision, but you have to fight this battle. Every person has to prove a point, either you complain about it, or put your head down and bloody do your job. I am clear I have come here to do my job, and I will do it well.
Speaking about his early days in the industry when he was a model, he says that there are people who did try to push him away and be bitter, but he says that you cannot be bitter about it and just have to continue doing your job and create your own path.
Speaking about how he himself is an outsider in that regard, he says:
I create my own standards. Did I come from outside the industry and make it on my own? Yes. It’s a great example for people. Do I think people from the industry are gracious? They are damn bloody gracious. Are all of them gracious? Maybe not, but that exists everywhere in every industry.
In the work front, John is all set to star in his own production, the Arjun Kapoor and Rakulreet Singh starrer untitled film, alongside Aditi Rao Hydari. He also has Satyameva Jayate 2, Mumbai Saga and Attack in the pipeline.
