It’s time for actor Shahid Kapoor to don his batting gloves and pads again. The actor who kicked off the shoot of Jersey in December 2019 had filmed a significant portion in Chandigarh until the pandemic interrupted the unit’s plans. Now according to a report by MidDay, the unit will be heading back to Chandigarh by the end of September to wrap up the shoot of the Gowtam Tinnanuri-helmed sports drama.

The publication quoted a source as saying—

About 15 days’ work is pending. However, before he returns to face the camera, Shahid will have to brush up on his cricket skills as crucial sports scenes will be shot in this schedule. The actor is likely to begin training next week.

Veteran actor Pankaj Kapur, who will also be seen in the film along with actress Mrunal Thakur in the Hindi adaptation of the Telugu sports drama, revealed that initial discussions on the impending schedule have been initiated. The movie chronicles the story of a retired cricketer who is making great efforts to make a comeback.

On the professional front, Shahid was last seen in Sandeep Vanga‘s Kabir Singh alongside Kiara Advani.
