Hello Upper East Siders, Gossip Girl is back! The much-awaited Gossip Girl reboot from HBO Max will kick start production in New York in October. According to a report by Variety, the shooting will start at the end of the month. Ann Sarnoff of WarnerMedia Studios and Networks Group also confirmed to press that production for the TV studio’s scripted series has been initiated in Vancouver, New York and Los Angeles.
The series is set eight years after the original show’s finale and will showcase how social media has transformed the social situations of New York’s elites. It will follow the lives of a new generation of private school teens who are introduced to the Gossip Girl website.
The famous narrator of the Gossip Girl, Kristen Bell will return in the role of the narrator. The new cast will mostly feature unknown artists namely, Jordan Alexander, Eli Brown, Adam Chanler-Berat, Thomas Doherty, Jonathan Fernandez, Tavi Gevinson, Jason Gotay, Emily Alyn Lind, Zión Moreno and Whitney Peak.
The 10 episode series is being produced by Warner Bros and CBS Television Studios.
