Joey King made her debut as Adam Sandler’s daughter in a movie called Reign Over Me. She featured in Crazy, Stupid, Love as the younger daughter of Steve Carell and Julianne Moore. Would you believe it if I told you she played Talia al Ghul in Christopher Nolan‘s The Dark Knight Rises? She received a nomination for a Primetime Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award for her role in the critically acclaimed crime drama show The Act. And she signed a deal with Hulu to produce its content for TV.
Joey is mostly known for her role as Elle in Netflix’s teen comedy The Kissing Booth. Joey stars opposite ex-boyfriend Jacob Elordi, Joel Courtney and Molly Ringwald. The movie follows her relationship with her best friend Lee and a romantic relationship with his brother Noah. For fans of the movie, The Kissing Booth 3 filmed back-to-back last year with The Kissing Booth 2. And is releasing on Netflix in 2021 with all the cast reprising their roles. Joey has been promoting The Kissing Booth 2 that culminated in weeks of events and some fantastic drool-worthy looks styled by Jared Eng.
Here’s a look at some of the cutest and most fun looks worn by Joey King for Netflix‘s The Kissing Booth 2, promotional tour:
1) White & stripes
There’s something so utterly cute and sexy about this cream, babydoll crop-top with puckered up sleeves. The Queen Anne neckline draws attention to the knot-front detailing on the top from Princess Polly. Joey’s top is expertly styled with a linen, rainbow coloured, striped mini-skirt from SAVÀ.
2) Joey in all-tan everything
The easiest way to an instant chic exterior is to style your look with a monochromatic palette. Joey wears an all-tan look featuring a suede jacket with shorts from Christine Alcalay. Slinky tan sandals from By Far and she adds a smart pop of colour with her statement acrylic earrings from Bare Collection.
3) Joey in a sequin skirt-suit
This is my favourite look and probably the most OTT one of them all too. Joey is wearing a matching Valentino black and gold, skirt suit. The skirt is quite a mini one and the jacket is on the shorter end adding that retro touch to her look. Here’s where the styling gets interesting, she’s not just wearing a bra on the inside but she’s wearing a mesh blouse from Noir Kei Ninomiya under which you see an olive coloured bra from Trois. She accessorised her look with a copper coloured box bag from Okhtein, black sheer stockings from Wolford and strappy Giuseppe Zanotti heels. She finished out her look with matching copper earrings and finger rings from German Kabirski.
4) All-black co-ord set
For this look, Joey wears a pair of flared, high-waisted pants with a V-neck, strappy bustier from Magda Butrym. The matching all-black co-ord set features tiny silver dots all over. She accessorised her look with silver earrings from Walters Faith and safety-pin and zipper rings from Melinda Maria.
5) Joey’s classic LBD
Now, this is a classic look I can get on board with. Don’t get me wrong I love quirky and over the top looks but sometimes a nice classic just makes all the difference. Joey wears a nice spaghetti strap, slinky midi-dress from Materiel. The dress features a knot-front detail in leather on the chest and the rest of the dress has a butter-like finish that just flows. She accessorised her look with black tie-up heels from Giuseppe Zanotti, earrings and an ear cuff from Alexander McQueen and gold rings from Lillian Shalom.
6) Joey’s a colour blocking pro
Joey wears a yellow, knit shirt with a blue woollen-blend, A-line, mini skirt from COS. Of course, the colours are jarring but they seem to work in tandem with one another. She accessorised her look with an officer hat in bright orange from Manokhi and matching tights from We Love Colors. Chunky combat boots from Jeffrey Campbell and cartoon-like orange sunglasses from Karen Walker finish out her look.
7) Matching printed co-ord set
Another Valentino ensemble you can’t ignore. The black blazer set with geometric print is paired with a matching white shirt. She accessorises her look with black, shoe hoove boots from Haiki and a dainty gold necklace from Ellie Vail and filigree finger ring from Lillian Shalom. I actually really love her hairdo with this look. Super cute and those high-waisted short give her waistline some nice definition.
8) Neutral quirky pairings
I honestly fell in love with the story this look tells. Joey wears a sheer short sleeve shirt with traditional Romanian motifs from Bode. Intricate starbursts are embroidered on the front, with zigzag stitching along the edges. She pairs the star-cross stitch shirt with the sailing tableau trousers. The trousers are silk and have embroidered scenes of sailboats and vehicles, the motifs are inspired by a bedspread from Asia. The pants also feature a lace insert very close to the hemline. How gorgeous is the pairing of these neutral tones?
9) Joey nails the overall trend
Joey sports a very interesting pair of black denim overalls which she pairs with a long-sleeved, white polo neck blouse from Sotos Nakis. She styled her look with black combat boots with a chunky heel from Jeffrey Campbell and a silver finger ring from Lillian Shalom.
