Sushant Singh Rajput‘s unfortunate demise on June 14th has led to a lot of events in the past two months. While the Mumbai police were investigating the case of alleged suicide, Sushant’s family approached the Bihar Police and filed a complaint against his former girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty, alleging her of abetting to suicide, of plundering money and for distancing him from his family.
Post the Bihar Government’s plea to the Centre to transfer the investigation of the case to the CBI, Rhea filed an plea in the Supreme Court for the investigation to be transferred to the Mumbai Police. But in its judgement today, the Supreme Court, chaired by Justice Hrishikesh Roy pronounced the verdict and ordered that the Bihar Government can initiate a CBI probe into the case. The court also ordered the Mumbai police to co-operate with the CBI in the case.
