The trailer 0f the Sadak 2 starring Sanjay Dutt, Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur in lead roles dropped on Wednesday. In July, we had reported that the Mahesh Bhatt directorial was also the first film to be rated on Nepometer. For the unversed, Nepometer is an app launched by the late actor, Sushant Singh Rajput’s brother-in-law, Vishal Kirti‘s brother, Mayuresh Krishna. As the name suggests, the app is developed to point out the proportion of nepotism in a movie. Nepometer estimates a movie in five categories — producer, lead artistes, supporting artistes, director and writer, and shows the result on its basis. And according to the app, Sadak 2 was rated 98% nepotistic.
Sadak 2, which is the sequel to the 1991 blockbuster Sadak, also stars Pooja Bhatt, Makarand Deshpande, Jisshu Sengupta among others. Produced by Vishesh Films, the movie is all set to release on Disney+Hotstar on August 28. Initially, the film was intended to release theatrically but due to the ongoing pandemic, the makers of the film were forced to take the streaming route.
