It’s been almost two months since the sad demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The investigation behind his tragic death is getting complicated by the day. While the CBI and ED are looking into the matter currently, the family of the late actor has released a 9-page-long letter alleging that the actor did not die by suicide.
The letter, which was released by DNA, comes a day after MP Sanjay Raut said in an article that the actor was not on good terms with his father, KK Singh.
The family began the letter with a couplet by Firaq Jalalpuri and they further wrote about their entire journey and experiences, from the beginning until now. In the letter penned in Hindi, there is information about the four daughters of the family and the son, Sushant, who was his mother’s “mannat”.
The letter also criticised the relatives who have been giving statements to the media professing that they were close to the actor. Though the family has not mentioned Sushant’s girlfriend, actor Rhea Chakraborty, it states that Sushant was ‘brutally murdered’ and that ‘crooks trapped him’. The letter also raised a question about how expensive lawyers are being hired in the case, and the family wonders if justice will be served or not.
The family also spoke about how they didn’t even have time to mourn their son’s death that photos of his body was exhibited all over. The statement also questioned why no steps were taken previously, when they approached the cops to take preventive and necessary action for Sushant’s safety. The family writes that they are now being ‘threatened’ and there is a campaign being run to defame them and malign the memory of Sushant.
