As you all know, I’m obsessed with all things skincare. Usually, I tend to pick up products when I travel, however, with the current lockdown, I’ve been researching local brands to try out. Luckily, there are a plethora of amazing options out there! Here are 5 that I’m itching to get my hands on.
1. Pahadi Local
From cold-pressed oils to clay masks and scrubs, this brand has it all. Sourced from the Himalayas, these products are made from 100% natural ingredients. What makes their products even more attractive are their empowerment initiatives and recycling programs. I’m most excited to try their Gutti Ka Tel (apricot kernel oil), which aims to nourish, soften and soothe skin.
2. Dr. Sheth’s
Founded by a dermatologist, this skincare brand has been specifically formulated for Indian skin. Their vegan and cruelty-free products target problems that we commonly face such as acne and hyperpigmentation. I came across them after hearing rave reviews about the Rosehip & Retinoid Power emulsion, which features granactive retinoid, bakuchiol, rosehip seed oil and hyaluronic acid.
3. Organic Riot
The chic and colourful packaging of this brand’s products make it hard to miss! Although they only have 4 products in their range right now, each of them promises to tackle an issue in its entirety. For example, their Zap serum, an invisible spot treatment that contains tamanu and manuka extract, works to shrink your pimples, whilst decreasing the redness that comes along.
4. Juicy Chemistry
Body wash, face masks, toners, dry shampoo, deodorant… this local brand is all about variety. Free of sulfates, petrochemicals and colours, the products they offer feature ingredients from around the world. I’ve got my eye on their vitamin-rich Saffron & Red Raspberry Facial Oil, as well as the Bulgarian Rose Water Toner.
5. Neemli Naturals
Here’s another 100% natural brand that looks great! Their wide gamut of plant-based formulas ensure that you can find something that will benefit you, no matter what your skin type is. If you are looking to try this brand out, I’ve heard good things about their Hyaluronic & Oat Amino Acid Moisturiser, which promises to be a lightweight formula that can work well for those with combination-to-oily skin.
Have you tried any products from these brands? I would love to hear your thoughts!
