In the most recent development of Sushant Singh Rajput‘s death case, CBI filed a money laundering case against Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and five others. The FIR reportedly mentioned that Rhea had allegedly done massive transactions through Sushant’s bank accounts. Following this, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) sent out a summon to Rhea and asked her to record her statement by 7th August 2020. But the latest update from news agency, ANI suggests that Rhea has requested that the recording of her statement be postponed until Supreme Court’s next hearing.
As per ANI, Rhea’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde is the one who spoke about Rhea’s request for postponement. Reportedly, the ED might ask Rhea about the two big property investments done by her.
Sushant’s house manager Samuel Miranda was also interrogated by ED for about nine hours. If reports are to be believed, Samuel was hired by Rhea to take care of Sushant’s finances.
A CBI probe has been requested ever since Sushant’s unfortunately and shocking demise by his fans. It only became stronger after his father K.K Singh filed an FIR against Rhea in Patna. But Rhea had immediately moved to Supreme Court asking for a transfer of the case back to Mumbai. In the first hearing of the Supreme Court, Rhea was refused any interim protection and also asked the Mumbai Police to put the investigation so far on record. The next hearing will take place next week.
