Rakshabandhan 2020 was a much-needed breather from all the negativity that’s been pouring in. Some celebrated through screens and some via intimate gatherings. Bollywood celebrities that have been quarantining owing to the pandemic stepped out with precautionary measures to celebrate the festival. The Kapoor clan hosted a not-so-grand bash at home that was attended by the likes of Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and more. Janhvi Kapoor along with father Boney Kapoor and sister Khushi Kapoor paid a visit to her grandmother’s house, while Raveena Tandon was spotted leaving for her brother’s residence. And for the occasion, Kareena, Janhvi and Raveena picked ethnic ensembles all in shades of yellow! Ahead, we give you a breakdown of their outfits.
What Janhvi Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Raveena Tandon wore for Rakhi celebrations:
1. Janhvi Kapoor
Janhvi’s penchant for simple yet statement-making ethnic-wear is clearly established. Around this time, the star donned a muted yellow kurta set, which was accentuated by intricate embroidery in white. The cotton kurta featured dainty floral embroidery spread across, while the hemline came in tiny, pressed pompoms. The netted dupatta was elevated with a thick border of intertwined lines and paisley motifs. She teamed her Patiala kurta set with a pair of embellished, ivory juttis and oxidised jhumkis.

2. Kareena Kapoor Khan
Seen along with the Kapoor family, Kareena opted for a solid-hued mustard yellow kurta set which instantly put her in a sartorial spotlight! To balance the extravagance of the outfit, the actor picked a pair of flared, beige trousers and rounded off her look with a plain, mustard yellow dupatta. A golden chain, delicate, crystal drop earrings and golden Kolhapuri chappals concluded her ethnic look for the occasion.
As for her beauty look, the star went with her signature kohl-eyes and nude lips with a thick bindi adding some more oomph to the look!
3. Raveena Tandon
Raveena Tandon was papped outside her Bandra residence as she left to celebrate rakhi with her brother. For the occasion, the actress chose a mango yellow anarkali. The kurta featured a light linear design in silver, while the dupatta was adorned with tassels. In the accessory department, Raveena picked a pair of golden jhumkis and her apple watch. Brown juttis rounded off her Rakshabandhan OOTD, not to forget her stand-out blue facemask with multi-coloured floral work.
