Malaika Arora is definitely one of those yummy mummies in Bollywood. The actress wears many hats but, the hat she wears best is one of being best dressed. Malaika is a true sensation because she always looks turnt up even if she’s stepping out in the most basic loungewear. There’s just something about the way she carries off her clothes. The mother of two recently took to Instagram to announce she’s going back to work on India’s Best Dancer. She experienced a mixed bag of emotions ranging from excitement to fear and happiness. Since all the safety measures were in place she was happy to resume work 4 months later. Scroll on to see her latest looks for India’s Best Dancer.
Malaika Arora in Malak El Ezzawy
For her first look, Maneka Harisinghani styled Malaika in a dull-gold, ruched dress. The metallic dress by Malak El Ezzawy, a couture designer from Egypt featured long sleeves and a polo neck. But, what truly made this dress interesting was the ruching on the side of the lower half of the dress. She went sans statement accessories because the dress did all the talking. However, she did accessorise with a pair of fish-net stockings, an unusual combo that seemed to work and a pair of thin gold dangly earrings. It sort of upped the sexy ante of the entire look, don’t you think?

For her beauty, makeup artist Divya Chablani gave Malaika a dark rouge lippy. Her face was contoured and reflected hints of gold to match her outfit. Hairstylist Sheetal Khan gave her a middle parting with hair pulled back into a wavy, low ponytail. The hairstyle is what really elevated the look because it’s always best to pull your hair back when you wear a polo neck outfit. If you check out the video below, you’ll see how the steam took the utmost care to sanitise her outfit, a very important point to highlight during this time.
Fashion Trivia
Ruching is when the fabric is gathered, pleated or folded along the seam to provide decoration. It is the French word for a strip of cloth—part of French couture to make garments look fancier. Also popular for its slimming effect.
Malaika Arora in Wilhja
For her second appearance, Malaika was styled by Maneka in a green, tulle Wilhja mini dress. The dress looked like the movement of waves and can you imagine how it would move in the wind. I didn’t feel the colour of the dress although I must admit Malaika even pulls off this colour really well. The fluffy dress was cinched at the waist with a black belt to create some waist definition. The look was accessorised with black, patent leather pumps and a pair of sheer, black stockings. Can’t say I’m a fan of stockings in Mumbai’s weather. I did, however, love the choice of earrings. Malaika wore vintage Chanel studs from Viange Vintage giving the whole look a more pulled together feels.

For her hair and makeup, hairstylist Sheetal Khan slicked her hair back into a tight, top knot with braids. I love it when Malaika has her hair slicked back because it pulls focus to her gorgeous jawline. That’s been expertly contoured by Divya Chablani. I suppose you could say that the previous lipstick was lightened because her make-up looked a little similar to her first look. Brown smokey eyes to keep the look feeling fresh and neutral.
