Deepika Padukone, as we know, is not a very big fan of discussing her acting process. But, while we may not really know much about how she does what she does, we do get to know of a few of her practices that she follows to prepare for her characters. The latest we hear is about her upcoming romantic drama, Shakun Batra‘s untitled film.
As the four-month lockdown has brought shooting schedules of many films to a halt, the work-flow of the artists has also been disturbed. So, to stay in touch with her character and the mood of the film, Deepika reportedly brushes over her script daily.
A source close to the actress revealed:
Deepika dedicates some time of her day daily to read at least a few pages of her Shakun Batra film script. While she doesn’t want to over prepare, she also doesn’t want to lose touch with her character completely as that’s the film she will start shooting for after the lockdown is lifted.
If not for the lockdown, the cast and crew would have finished one schedule of the film in Sri Lanka.
Deepika had earlier shared her experience working with Shakun and had spoken about how the script and her character are so well-written and strong. This is the first time she will be working with the Kapoor & Sons director, Shakun. This romantic drama explores modern relationships in all its forms and also has Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday in lead roles.
Deepika has always breathed life into any character she takes up and we are sure this one will be no different. With Shakun’s direction and the interesting cast in place, this is one film we are super excited for!
