Kartik Aaryan is the go-to actor in Bollywood for any boy-next-door roles these days and he has his hands pretty full with the line up of films he has. And looks like Kartik has just given the nod to yet another much-awaited project.
According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, the actor has said yes to the official remake of South Indian superstar Allu Arjun‘s Telugu blockbuster Ala Vaikunthapurramloo. The movie will be directed by Rohit Dhawan and produced by Ekta Kapoor along with south producer Allu Aravind. Allu Aravind also produced the original movie. The movie will go on floors around February 2021 after Kartik completes his previous commitments.
A source close to the development said that the entire team was pumped to get to the pre-production processes. While Kartik will step into Allu Arjun’s shoes for the film, the search for the female lead and the rest of the ensemble cast is still on. The idea is to cast some of the best actors in the industry for these roles.
Kartik Aaryan was last seen opposite Sara Ali Khan in Love Aaj Kal 2. The film did not fare too well at the box office and was not appreciated by critics either. The actor is also waiting for the release of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.
