With a lot of television shows resuming shoot in the past few weeks, news of many actors being replaced have also been heard. While a few are being replaced by the makers, a lot of actors are also deciding to step back fearing getting out amidst COVID-19. News is that television actor Tarun Khanna is going to replace Manav Gohil on the show, Tenali Rama.
Tarun, famous for his stints on shows like Ssshhhh…Phir Koi Hai, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Chandragupta Maurya. He is also famous for playing Lord Shiva in almost 8 shows, Devi Adi Parashakti being the latest one, Now, he is set to play Maharaj Krishnadevaraya on ‘Tenali Rama‘.
Speaking to Mumbai Mirror, he says that he hasn’t watched Manav on the show. Speaking about working on the show, he says he has grown up reading Tenali comics and that playing the role is “a childhood dream fulfilled.” Moreover, he adds that he has essayed the role of a king before, but playing one in a comedy is something he hasn’t done.
Tarun, who has already begun shooting for the show since last week, says that the makers of the show are taking all the necessary precautions by ensuring the set is sanitised every 30 minutes and that social distancing is maintained.
