2020 has really cost us way too many lives and today is no different. Actress Kelly Preston popular for her roles in Jerry Maguire, Twins, and Space Camp has passed away at 57. The actress had been battling breast cancer for two years. Her husband and actor John Travolta took to his Instagram to confirm this heartbreaking news. She had chosen to keep her struggle private and hadn’t spoken about it in the open. An official statement by her family to People after her death on 12th July 2020 revealed that undergoing treatment for quite some time.

On the morning of July 12, 2020, Kelly Preston, adored wife and mother, passed away following a two-year battle with breast cancer. Choosing to keep her fight private, she had been undergoing medical treatment for some time, supported by her closest family and friends. She was a bright, beautiful, and loving soul who cared deeply about others and who brought life to everything she touched. Her family asks for your understanding of their need for privacy at this time.
Her husband John in his Instagram post confirming the news thanked all the medical staff that helped her fight the illness but also said that he will be taking some time to heal and be there for his children.

Kelly is survived by her two children, her 20-year-old daughter Ella and 9-year-old son Benjamin. The couple also had an elder son Jett who passed away due to a seizure at the age of 16 in 2009. He was autistic and the couple even started the Jett Travolta Foundation that aims at providing resources for children with physical impairments.
Rest in peace, Kelly. You will always be remembered for the kind-hearted soul you were.
