On the 14th of June 2020, Indians everywhere woke up to the shocking death of Sushant Singh Rajput. Individually and collectively as a nation while we’re still trying to come to terms with this great loss, Sushant’s last movie Dil Bechara will soon release digitally on 24th July 2020 on Disney+Hotstar. As a tribute to Sushant, the platform has decided to let everyone use the platform free for everyone so as all of us can enjoy the movie as when we please. Besides this, the title track and the first song of the movie just released today. The music is composed by music maestro A.R Rahman and the title track is choreographed by popular choreographer Farah Khan.
Now the director of the movie Mukesh Chhabra revealed that Farah agreed to do the song just on the basis of it being Mukesh’s directorial debut and because she was really good friends with Sushant. Mukesh detailed in an Instagram post how his phone conversation had gone with the choreographer-director. She had refused to take any fee from Mukesh for the song and brushed him off saying it wasn’t necessary as it was his first movie. The debut director took to post the entire song Dil Bechara along with his phone conversation with Farah.

Farah also took to her Instagram to post the song and talked about how she wanted to do the entire song in one take and she knew that Sushant was one person who could do it. She talked about how they had practiced for an entire day and then finally did the whole song in one take. Farah also fondly acknowledged how when she sees the song now she can only think of how full of life Sushant was. She also talked about it was the first time she was choreographing Sushant even though they were friends for a long time.
