It’s note-worthy how rapidly the fashion industry is getting on board with the digital reality. While brands are producing virtual collections and major fashion are weeks hosting virtual fashion shows, it comes as no surprise that magazines are doing their photoshoots, virtually, as well. Facetime photoshoots are in the process of becoming the next big thing; most famous exemplar being Jacquemus‘s summer 2020 campaign with model Bella Hadid, shot by French photographer Pierre-Ange Carlotti. Closer to home, it was the bridal magazine Brides Today, that experimented with digital photoshoots with Athiya Shetty. The cover star of their July issue wore a balmy kurta + palazzo combo that she picked from her mother’s closet and once you take a closer look, you’re going to want it too!
Athiya Shetty’s comfortable and chic, traditional look is perfect to lounge in!
Digging through her mother’s closet, Athiya’s kurta set was as summery and balmy as it could get. The off-white, cotton kurta came with a floral print and foliage motifs in hues of blue and white. The neckline of the garment and the hems of the sleeves featured dainty, intricate lace detailing. Accentuating her look further, she teamed the kurta with an off-white, floral-printed palazzo. The actor, at the same time, served a lesson on how to layer your jewels. Adding a whole lot of drama to her look, Athiya opted for multiple strings of south sea pearls around her neck that she borrowed from her grandmother. Chunky pearls to tiny ones, the end result looked mesmerising!
In tandem with the location of the shoot, a no-makeup makeup was her beauty look for the shoot. Tones of muted pink and bronze served as her go-to colours—blushed cheeks and matte brown lips, with freshly blow-dried hair concluded her look.
