Ever since the sudden and shocking death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, social media has been up in arms about how Bollywood biggies boycotted him forcing him to take such a drastic step. The topic of nepotism has made its comeback and this time social media seems to direct all their hate at star kids. Many of them have lost a number of followers on social media platforms while many others had to quit platforms like Twitter and turn off their comments on Instagram. Amidst this, many who have been spewing hate at star kids including Alia Bhatt included Heena actor Rahul Bhat into their social media tweets and messages mistaking him for her stepbrother and Mahesh Bhatt‘s son from his first wife, Rahul Bhatt. The actor tired of getting tagged in a number of tweets regarding Alia replied to trolls saying that he wasn’t Alia’s brother and that calling Alia a product of nepotism is doing a disservice to the whole nepotism debate itself. And that it’s because she is gifted she has reached where she is today.
Check out his tweet:
Alia’s mother Soni Razdan also retweeted Rahul’s tweet. But his followers also majorly ended up questioning why he was siding with the star kids. Many even asked him if it was because he wanted a role in her father’s film to which he replied saying that he didn’t like any movies that Mahesh Bhatt made recently.
Take a look:
Rahul became popular after starring in the TV show Heena in which he played the role Sameer. Meanwhile, Alia was invited by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Science to be a member of the Academy. The Academy underwent a number of revisions and changes in terms of adding more diverse people to its team.
