Saif Ali Khan is one of the most talented actors we have in the industry. With age, he has just got better at his craft. His last stint at the box office was with Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior and Jawaani Jaaneman. Two movies and roles that are poles apart and just from that you know the range that this man has.
In a virtual chat with senior journalist Kaveree Bamzai, the actor spoke about the shocking demise of Sushant Singh Rajput, the ongoing raging debate on nepotism, and much more. Talking of Sushant he said Sushant was a talented and good looking and Saif always thought he had a bright future. He also talked about how Sushant was always polite to him and appreciated his guest appearance in his film Dil Bechara. Saif revealed how the actor always wanted to talk about Astronomy and philosophy and he got a feeling that Sushant was way brighter than him.
Talking about Kangana Ranaut’s remarks on the Koffee With Karan that she had been on along with him, Saif said he had no idea what the actress was talking about.
I have no idea what Kangana was saying on Koffee with Karan because I don’t think like that. As far as Karan is concerned, he has made himself a large symbol and it seems like he’s attracting a lot of flak for it. The truth is always complicated. There’s much more to it but people aren’t interested in that. I hope the tide is over and better things shine through.
He further added:
There is inequality in India that needs to be explored. Nepotism, favouritism, and camps are different subjects. Even I have been a victim of nepotism but nobody speaks about that. I’m happy to see more people from film institutes come forward.
He also went on to talk about his web show Sacred Games and how it had come about. While he didn’t give a clear confirmation as to whether there would be a season 3, he said he would love to reprise his role as the Sardar inspector as he enjoyed playing it.
