Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, who is making his directorial comeback with Sadak 2, released the poster of the film on Monday. He took to his social media to share the poster, but was almost immediately subject to trolling and backlash. The Bhatts — filmmaker Mahesh & daughter Alia Bhatt — have already been receiving a lot of hate on social media ever since the sudden demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

On Monday, netizens’ anger reflected on the comments section of his tweet. They slammed the filmmaker, holding him accountable for humiliating Sushant’s mental condition. They also decided to boycott the film.
A social media user wrote, “Guy who declared 26/11 as RSS ki Sazish and his own son helped terrorists to identify the places, tried to declare Sushant as mentally unstable, having a relationship with lady younger than her daughter’s daughter, lowest scum possible…Don’t know why this guy is not in jail”.
While another wrote, “When you put END to someone”s life intensionally, you’ll soon release your END”.
One user replied by sharing the poster of the late actor’s upcoming last film, Dil Bechara, while another user initiated a poll asking the audiences to make a choice between Sadak 2 and Dil Bechara.
Sadak 2 is the sequel of 1991 film of the same name. The movie stars Sanjay Dutt, Pooja Bhatt, Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur in lead roles. The movie will also be ditching the traditional theatrical release and will premiere on Disney+Hotstar.
