Actor Sushant Singh Rajput‘s unfortunate death by suicide has left all his fans and loved ones shattered, and many are still grappling with the loss of a talented and intelligent individual like him. Known for his superb performances in films like MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, Chhichhore and Kai Po Che, we really wish we could have seen more of the actor’s craft. Now, he has left us with one un-released film, Dil Bechara, that is all set to get a digital release now.
The official handle of Disney+ Hotstar announced that Dil Bechara will be streaming on the platform from July 24th. The film also stars debutante Sanjana Sanghi in the lead opposite him along with Saif Ali Khan playing a pivotal role. It also marks the directorial debut of casting director Mukesh Chhabra.

Sharing this news, the streaming platform as well as the cast and makers of the film announced that “for the love of Sushant and his love for cinema, the movie will be available to all subscribers and non-subscribers.”
Calling it a “story of love, of hope, and of endless memories,” they shared the news saying this film is a celebration of their dearest Sushant’s legacy that will be “etched in the minds of all and cherished forever.” I completely agree and am looking forward to the film. Though it’s going to be a very bittersweet experience for each one of us, it is about celebrating the wonderful artist that Sushant was.
Dil Bechara is an adaptation of John Green‘s 2013 novel, The Fault In Our Stars. The American movie adaptation starred Shailene Woodly and Ansel Elgort in the lead roles.
