Remember when Wannabe came out and the whole of U.K. went crazy over Spice Girls and then they went onto taking over the world with their music? I mean, what’s not to love about this drop-dead-gorgeous pop band, amirite? But just like how all good things come to an end, the Spice Girls dissolved in 2000 as well. But, here’s the most exciting news I have heard in a while that’s just in: the band may go on a world tour in the coming year. And unlike last summer, hopefully, it won’t just be Scary Spice, Sporty Spice, Baby Spice and Ginger Spice. Melanie Chisholm (Sporty) in an interview announced that she will try to have Victoria Beckham a.k.a. Posh Spice be a part of the reunion as well.
Here’s what you need to know about their upcoming plans:
The Spice Girls have been a much-loved band and the success with their last tour is a testament to that. While speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Melanie revealed that the girls would love for Victoria Beckham to be a part of their 25th anniversary celebratory tour. The dates for their tour in the United States were already decided. However, the pandemic changed their plans and all of our plans overnight.
While speaking about their last reunion, Melanie said that they hoped for Victoria to join them on the stage. Nonetheless, they respected her decision to be a part of the creative production if not actually singing. In the interview, she also revealed how proud she was of the band and all of their accomplishments.
We really hope for the band to hit the road next year along with Victoria Beckham as well. It will be one heck of a nostalgia, indeed! Don’t you agree? Tell me what you think in the comments below!
