Chandrachur Singh was one of the most promising actors of the 90s. He became popular around 1996 with movies like Maachis and Tere Mere Sapne. Unfortunately, the actor didn’t get much of a chance to prove his mettle in the movie business. Nevertheless, he’s back in the thriller series Aarya headlined by the supremely gorgeous Sushmita Sen. In the series, he plays Sushmita’s husband.
In a recent interview, he revealed that Karan Johar had approached him a role in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. To be more specific, he was offered the role of Aman. He had turned down the role back then. The character was eventually played by Salman Khan. The film as you all know went on to become a huge hit and a cult classic. Later Karan Johar also revealed that Salman did the part for free as a favour to him.
He also said that it was his loss and it was one of those decisions you make and you learn from. He also spoke about a period when he was highly disappointed as he expected a better first innings in show business especially when he started off with a movie like Maachis. But the actor also said that he was happy with the work he’s done.
His comeback series Aarya is based on a Dutch series Penoza and is currently streaming on Disney+Hotstar.
