How did you bag the role of Puggi in Student Of The Year 2?
I got a call from casting and it was very uncertain. They asked me to audition from home. At first, I thought someone was playing a prank on me. It was surprising because I got the call in 2017-2018 and I did not expect to get a movie so soon. I couldn’t believe it. The casting team approached me after seeing a few of my videos and they liked my acting skills. And that’s how I landed a role in Student of The Year 2.
Which YouTuber do you consider as your closest friend?
I am in touch with everyone, but if we talk about someone who I can share everything with, then RealShit, Elvish Yadav and Carry Minati are my best friends.
What kind of music do you listen to?
There isn’t a specific genre of music that I listen to. I have a playlist of all the different songs I like. Generally speaking, I like Hip-Hop and Rap a lot. I love listening to underground rap music.
Did your parents support your YouTube career?
Yes, they have supported me every step of the way. Even when they didn’t know if YouTube was a career option or not. I am lucky that I’ve got such supportive parents. It took ₹1,000-2,000 to make videos at that time as we mostly shot on our phones and my parents provided me with that. I didn’t get any pocket money. My sister used to get it but not me because we weren’t financially stable at that time. I used to go to college at that time so they would manage my daily expenses. I used to get ₹2,000-2,500 per month to eat in the canteen and that was also seldom. Other than that, they paid for any money I required for shoots. So yes, they’ve supported me always and I am what I am today because of them.
What would your ‘dream life’ be like?
My biggest problem is that I am unable to give time to my personal life because of my profession. So, my dream life would be to have a perfect work-life balance. My ideal life would be owning a beautiful house, having sports cars in the garage, a small family and me being surrounded by people who support and motivate me.
Who is your inspiration while creating content?
I get inspiration from anyone at any time. I’ve been inspired by a lot of people that I’ve met and many of them are my friends. Not essentially a public figure, you can get inspiration from anyone. The biggest inspiration for me is my mom from whom I’ve learned a lot of things and there’s a lot more to learn still. My mom is the most selfless person ever. So I am very inspired by her. I also get inspired by the people I encounter daily.
What do you look for in a partner?
If I have a partner, she should always be supportive. When I am demotivated, she should be there to motivate me. She should give me space when I need it, understand my work and shouldn’t feel insecure about these things. She should be beautiful from the inside, I don’t care about looks. She should love my family and take care of them.
Can we expect more Bollywood projects in the future?
Obviously, I’ll work and I am getting a lot of messages from people for various Bollywood projects but right now I want to do something different. I want to do a comic role but also something more than that. Something different and exciting where I can show my acting skills. So yes, we are still in talks about it and you will soon see me working on a big project.
One lesson that you’ve learned from your experiences?
I have made a lot of mistakes in my life and will keep doing so and learning from them. The one thing I’ve learned recently is that you shouldn’t trust anyone blindly because that can hurt you eventually. So, limit yourself from telling people too many details. Keep a handful of people close and don’t share everything with people who are temporarily in your life. Otherwise, they won’t get hurt but you will.
