There is a lot of unrest all over because the unfortunate death by suicide of actor Sushant Singh Rajput last week in his Mumbai home. While it is said that he was battling depression, the police have opened an investigation regarding his death and have been calling his close friends and family for questioning. Rumoured ex-girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty was also one of them. She was reportedly at the police station for 9 hours to record her statement.
A court in Bihar now has gone ahead and filed a complaint against the actress, accusing her of abetting the suicide of the late actor. According to a report in PTI, a resident of Muzaffarpur named Kundan Kumar filed a petition before the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Mukesh Kumar. His lawyer Kamlesh has said that Kundan has been ‘deeply affected by Sushant’s death’ and that he has filed a case under IPC Sections 306 (abetment of suicide) and 420 (fraud). It has been posted for hearing on June 24.
The Maharashtra police are also looking into the death from a ‘professional rivalry’ angle and have recorded statements from almost 15 people until now. Earlier this week, another petition was filed in relation to Sushant’s death by local advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha. His petition accused eminent Bollywood producers and personalities like Karan Johar‘s Dharma Productions, Salman Khan, Aditya Chopra‘s YRF, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ekta Kapoor of hindering Sushant’s career.
