Madhuri Dixit Nene has been a part of some iconic Bollywood films in her years in the industry. Whoever has watched the 1993 film, Khal Nayak, hugely remember it for her iconic song in the film, Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai. So, when director Subhash Ghai recently confirmed the news of a sequel to the film, fans were surely excited. They wanted to know if the original cast of the film — Madhuri, Sanjay Dutt and Jackie Shroff — will be re-uniting for it.
When asked about it, Madhuri Dixit told IANS:
That’s news to me. I have no idea. It is a surprise for me.
Her reaction seems to suggest that the makers haven’t approached her with an offer to star in the film as yet. When asked if she would be interested to be a part of the sequel, she said that it depends on how interesting it is to her.
She said:
It depends on the script, how they are planning to do, where they want to shoot. I think we will take things as they come.
Madhuri’s role in the 1993 film was quite fiesty. She played a sub-inspector named Ganga who goes under-cover as a dancer in order to capture a gangster called Ballu, played by Sanjay Dutt.
Madhuri has been keeping herself busy during the lockdown. She has been spending all her time with her family, practicing her dance lessons with her sons. She also recorded a song called Candle, which is being appreciated by one and all. Click here to watch our latest interview with the lovely actress.
