Kartik Aaryan who created a niche for himself with Pyaar Ka Punchnama and oddly similar movies is currently the poster boy for boy-next-door/ boy-mistreated sorta roles. His boyish charm and goofy one-liners have gained him a lot of fans and friends inside the industry as well.
We first saw, Kartik and Deepika Padukone‘s camaraderie when Kartik and Deepika did the Dheeme Dheeme challenge at the airport. Remember those videos of Kartik teaching DP the hook step right outside the entrance of the Mumbai International airport? And then, of course, Kartik quizzed Deepika about her relationship with her hubby Ranveer Singh at an award show. Safe to say, these two are good friends by now. As friends go these days, it’s important to show that social media acknowledgment as well. And Kartik did on Deepika’s recent post that showed her grooving in her green room right before she walked the Cannes red carpet.

Kartik, unaware of the meaning of the word shenanigans, asked DP to explain much like Amitabh Bachchan had asked Bhumi Pednekar to explain the meaning of baller to him.
