Celebrities have been at the forefront when it comes to raising awareness about the coronavirus that has taken over the world. From encouraging people to stay motivated during the lockdown to requesting them to stay at home in order to stay safe, Indian celebrities have been doing everything they can to help the government. Now Bhumi Pednekar has come forward in raising awareness about the deadly virus by starting an anti-spitting campaign.
Bhumi is primarily known for the roles she’s portrayed in socially conscious cinema like Dum Laga Ke Haisha, Toilet Ek Prem Katha, Bala, and many more. So it’s not surprising that the actress has come forward with such an initiative.
Talking about the same, she said:
We have to defeat Coronavirus and everyone has to join hands! Leave the habit of spitting. We have to save the country! Currently, our country is under the threat of Corona and the fatal disease spreads even by spitting! The way we all have come together to get associated with the Toilet campaign and pledged to make the country clean! Similarly, let’s pledge to make the country Corona free, by avoiding to spit here and there.
The actress shared a video of the same on her social media as well.
