Actor Sonu Sood has become a real life hero of sorts for hundreds of migrants all over the country right now. Due to the COVID-19 lockdown, many migrants are stranded without shelter or food, away from their home and families. Sonu decided to take it upon himself to make sure he can help as many of them reach their families safely. He has been arranging for buses everyday and has already sent many of them home.
Good deeds like this deserve heaps of praise and blessings that’s exactly what he has been getting on his social media from all quarters. Social media is also a place where people reach out to him for help. In one such tweet recently, a user requested Sonu to help the worker in his hostel go home to his weeping mother. Sonu immediately replied to the tweet and asked for his details on priority. He wrote, “Send his details on priority. Before mom sheds any more tears..Call her and tell her son is coming to see her. Wish you had asked me for this yesterday. Hundreds left for Darbhanga today. Any ways.. send details.“
Have a look at his tweet:
Not just this, he also helped around 169 migrant workers (most of them girls) from Kerala reach their homes in Odisha by airlifting them. He also recently appeared on our show, Some Good News India, and spoke about how it is so fulfilling to see the smiles on the faces of the migrants when they reach home.
How sweet is that? Kudos to you, Sonu.
