Salman Khan‘s Dabangg franchise is one of his most successful set of movies in his career. Fans loved his character in the film called Chulbul aka Robinhood Pandey for his one-liners and limericks and funny tricks along with the mind-blowing action sequences that got better with each movie. Now the character is going to get an animated series of its own. Yup! You heard that right.
Leading animation studio Cosmos-Maya is producing the animated adaptation of Arbaaz Khan‘s Dabangg movies. The animated series will have the same characters as the movies and universal storylines that cater to kids and families alike. Two seasons have been announced of the series with season 2 coming out sometime in 2021. The first season is said to have 52 half an hour episodes. The studio has still not announced which paid channel and OTT platform it’s going to be available on, but will do so soon enough.
Meanwhile the cartoon series will showcase Chulbul Pandey‘s everyday life. With the help of his entourage he stands to fight evil and keep his city safe. Along with action, Chulbul will also retain some jokes, limericks and one-liners that make people laugh. Arbaaz’s character Makkhi, who recently joined the police force will also be seen in this series. Other important characters like Rajjo played by Sonakshi Sinha, the 3 main villains Chhedi Singh, Bachcha Bhaiya, and Baali will also be seen along with the ‘Bhaiya Ji issmile‘ guy. All 3 movies of the Dabangg series have together garnered around Rs 7 billion worldwide making it one of the most successful Hindi films of all time. The animated series is sure to create a lot of excitement amidst Salman fans for sure.
