Fans of popular TV show F.R.I.E.N.D.S have only been waiting for over 16 years for the cast to have a reunion of some kind. And any time they did have something that was even remotely close, the internet lost all calm. So as you can imagine, everyone went crazy when the makers of the show confirmed that the TV show will have an official reunion on HBO Max that’s soon to be launched. If it wasn’t for the coronavirus and subsequent lockdowns around the world, we would’ve got a solid date for when we will see the gang on screen again. While the shooting for the reunion has been put on hold, Lisa Kudrow who played Phoebe Buffay in the series talked to Entertainment Tonight about how the makers finally decided to give fans a reunion.
To be honest, I think when it moved to Netflix and it did so well on Netflix. That’s why Mart and David are so great. (F.R.I.E.N.D.S co-creators) Marta Kauffman and David Crane, they knew what they were doing.
Talking about the reunion itself, she said:
I can’t wait for it to happen, Kudrow, who played Phoebe Buffay on the beloved sitcom. The six of us haven’t been in a room together in front of people in 25 years and only once a few years ago, privately for dinner. …I can only imagine. It’s gonna be fun. I mean, it’ll be really fun.
After months of waiting, F.R.I.E.N.D.S will start streaming on HBO Max coming Tuesday. But we will have to wait for the reunion due to coronavirus postponements.
