Glass skin has been trending for over a year now and frankly, I’m not surprised! Originating from South Korea, this beauty fad is all about creating a smooth and dewy base. Whilst it is mostly achieved by a solid skincare routine, you can fake your way into it with makeup too! Scroll below to see what you will need to mimic this effect.
1. Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional Face Primer
To create a smooth canvas, you first need to minimise the appearance of your pores. This silky primer glides on to the skin to blur them out, whilst forming a base for your foundation to go on.
2. Giorgio Armani Luminous Skin Foundation
Glass skin calls for an award-winning foundation like this one! The medium-coverage formula helps cover up any pigmentation and spots, whilst delivering a beautiful, lit-from-within glow. Since it comes in 30 shades, you can be sure to find your perfect match.
3. NYX Born To Glow Radiant Concealer
Dark circles have no right to appear on glass skin. To camouflage them, turn to this liquid concealer. Not only does it virtually wipe out your under-eye circles, but also brightens up the skin to make you look more alert! If you are using this concealer to cover up a zit, I would recommend dusting on a little powder so that the spotlight doesn’t shine on your blemish.
4. CoverFX Custom Enhancer Drops
To really amp up your glow, invest in these bottles. The fluid formula is super pigmented and provides a shimmery coat of colour wherever you apply it. I recommend blending in a drop or two on your cheekbones and just above the arch of your brow to get that glossy effect. Whilst all the shades are gorgeous, I’m a huge fan of ‘Candlelight’, which is a golden-bronze hue.
5. MAC Fix+ Magic Radiance
This setting spray will lock down all your hard work. Apart from preventing your makeup from smudging or caking, it also mists your skin with hyaluronic acid, vitamin C and essential oils so that your face stays dewy and fresh.
