Akshay Kumar‘s film alongside Kiara Advani, Laxmmi Bomb was one of the most anticipated films of the year. But with Covid-19 taking over our lives and the world, theatres remain shut and won’t be reopening anytime soon. The movie that was originally supposed to release in theatres across the country in May stands indefinitely postponed. But, it looks like the makers are now in talks with streaming platform Disney+Hotstar to release the movie online so that viewers can still enjoy it while under lockdown.
As a superstar and producer with ace business sense, Akshay wants to make sure that none of the invested parties suffer losses. Meanwhile, the film is not yet complete either with the team currently working from home on the edit and VFX of the movie. Another concern that the movie makers will face is how they will make sure that it reaches small towns in India with an online release such as this.
Either way, the makers are still contemplating this release and no final decision has been made on the same.
