5 Fashion-Related Social Media Challenges That Stemmed Out Of Quarantine

Shikha Kohli

As someone who works in the field of content, I’m always looking forward to seeing where travel bloggers are headed and what fashion bloggers are wearing at fashion weeks. However, with everything on a standstill, there are no fashion weeks, exotic holidays and funny standup shows. You’d think that content would be compromised due to lack of access and resources—but instead bloggers, YouTubers and influencers have made the most of the situation and gotten imaginative within their limited means.

If you’re done with baking that banana bread and whipping that frothy Dalgona coffee and have some free time, maybe use it to play around with your wardrobe. Fashion bloggers and influencers have turned their living rooms into runways and used this downtime to come up with creative hashtags and challenges, for everyone to partake.

Keep scrolling for some fun social media fashion and beauty challenges that can give you an acceptable excuse to get dressed for the living room.

1. #PassTheBrushChallenge by James Charles

Started by beauty guru James Charles, this challenge is a big collaboration of beauty bloggers from their respective homes, in their respective countries. “wanted to bring the community together during this time of being apart… we all send our love!! stay home & stay safe”, said James Charles in the caption of the challenge post.

The challenge is relatively simple and entertaining. The beauty guru starts by brushing the camera, then revealing their glammed look after which they pass that brush onto the next blogger via a transition edit in the challenge. Beauty gurus such as Nikkie de Jager, Patrick Starrr, Nikita Dragun, Louie Casttro, Lauren Mychal, Manny MUA and Gabriel have participated in this challenge.
