The current pandemic of COVID-19 has almost brought the whole world on lockdown. As we know, social distancing is the only way to flatten the curve. While I have been spending my days at home in pajamas, I can’t help but miss dressing up. TBH, I can’t wait for all this to settle down so that I can step out on the streets in my stylish clothes again. I have made a list of trends to rock post lockdown, and one of them includes denim-on-denim.
I find this trend kinda tricky to ace. However, with the help of some old celebrity looks, I got some style inspiration. Check out five of these Bollywood stars who have rocked the denim-on-denim trend.
1. Kareena Kapoor Khan
This look was styled by Lakshmi Lehr. Kareena wore a denim waistcoat and paired it with straight-leg, acid wash pants with a paint splatter print. So the key takeaway here is to pair plain denims with printed, washed or embroidered ones in the same or varied tones. She accessorised the outfit with neon, strappy stilettos, gold, layered necklaces and kept her makeup minimal.
2. Aditi Rao Hydari
Aditi sported a classy look, styled by Sanam Ratansi. She opted for a denim shirt and tucked it in high-waisted denim jeans with side slits. She paired them with denim stilettos. I would totally recreate this outfit. Would you?
3. Alaya F
You can keep it tonal all the way through with a denim co-ord set, just like Alaya. Styling credits go to Sanam Ratansi.
4. Deepika Padukone
Styled by Shaleena Nathani, Deepika’s look is one of the classic ways of pulling off this trend. Everyone has donned a basic tee with jeans and thrown a denim jacket over it. Remember to keep the tones of the jeans and jacket the same or choose to play with light and dark shades. The tip here is to make sure you’re adding some colour to your look with the help of your top and accessories to break the monotony.
5. Sonakshi Sinha
This one is by far the most unique, according to me. If you all follow Sonakshi, you’ll know she loves to experiment with outfits and this is one such example. Sonakshi sported a denim shirt dress with knee-high, peep-toe denim boots. What added an unusual touch was that wide denim waist belt, which upped the ante of the look.
