When it comes to the celebrities and public personalities, they have eventful journeys and larger-than-life personas which become interesting stories to tell on the silver screen. So, it is only natural that people want to make and watch their stories as biopics. Now, when it comes to biopics, the casting for the role becomes the most important step in the process.
Cricketer Yuvraj Singh, who is well renowned for his skills in the sport and for his brave battle with cancer, was recently asked whom he would cast if they were to make a biopic on him. He went on to choose Gully Boy actor, Siddhant Chaturvedi to play him in his biopic.
He said:
Probably, I’d play myself — that would be a bit desperate… (chuckles) hai na? See, that’s the director’s job to decide. If it’s going to be a Bollywood film, then Siddhant Chaturvedi — the guy who played MC Sher in Gully Boy (2019) — is a good option; I’d love to see him in the film.
Not to forget, Siddhant has a cricket connection from before. He plays one of the cricketers in the much-acclaimed web series, Inside Edge, which is based on cricket leagues and all the politics they entail.
Coming back to the casting, we absolutely agree with Yuvraj and would love to see Siddhant play him in his biopic! Producers and directors, hope you heard Yuvraj!
On the work front, Siddhant will next be seen in Bunty Aur Babli 2 opposite newcomer Sharvari. He also has Shakun Batra‘s untitled film alongside Deepika Padukone and Ananya Panday in the pipeline.
