Bigg Boss 13 might be over but the drama surrounding this season and its contestants are far from over. Recently, Mahira Sharma had taken to her Instagram stories to inform her fans and followers that she had won a Dadasaheb Phalke award for being the most fashionable contestant on Bigg Boss 13. Various media houses and web portals had carried the news as well. But now, Mahira is in big trouble because the organisers of Dadasaheb Phalke awards have issued a statement against this saying the actress won no such award and was doing this to gain publicity. The organizers clarified that while she attended the event, she never won an award. Their statement is quite firm. Being one of the most prestigious awards in India, the organisers said that the award in Mahira’s picture was forged. They also said that by doing this, Mahira has tarnished the reputation of such a prestigious award. The official statement has been put up on their Instagram handle. They even went on to send her a notice asking her and her team to take down all misleading PR activities regarding the award and also asked her to issue a written apology for the same. And failure to do so, they said, would result in them taking legal action against the actress.
Check out the official statement below:
Mahira seems to be in quite a pickle with this controversy. We hope this gets sorted soon.
