Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2020 finally comes to an end, and that too with a bang! The #5DaysOfFashion has been nothing short of power-packed glam brought by celebrities and a talented bunch of designers showcasing their work. There were so many cool summer prints and silhouettes that I took note of for the season. However, it is always the grand finale that I keenly look forward to because it involves the finest work from renowned designers in the industry. This time, Amit Aggarwal closed LFWSR’20 and the ultimate queen of LFW’s runway, Kareena Kapoor Khan played his muse. Here are all the details you need to know about the closing show.
1. Kareena’s Ramp Glam
Kareena unveiled the designer’s new collection, AXIL and looked like a blooming flower as she walked on the ramp. She wore a beautifully crafted green gown, which had a structured fit for her body with a flared bottom consisting of metallic striped detailing. She strutted the ramp with so much confidence and as always was such a visual treat!
2. Bebo’s Subtle Sheen
Before her runway look, Kareena donned a beautiful Amit Aggarwal nude metallic gown with a big bow that straight away caught my attention. She kept her makeup simple and matched it with the tones of her outfit.

Talking about the grand show, Amit’s new collection was full of detailed garments that resonated with his signature style of futuristic biomimicry. The theme of this season’s fashion week was Better In 3D, and the designs fitted so well with it. The collection symbolized a modern woman who is strong, yet gentle and it was visible through his structured and free-flowing silhouettes. The outfits played with light to bring contrast on the runway. What I absolutely loved was the intricate, three-dimensional forms that were created for most of the looks. That simply highlighted the designer’s craftsmanship.
The show was surely worth the wait and I absolutely enjoyed watching these garments live on the ramp. Another season of LFW has come to an end and I already can’t wait to see what’s in store for the next one. What about you? Let me know in the comments below.
