Disha Patani has been getting rave reviews for her recent performance in the action-thriller, Malang. Directed by Mohit Suri, the film also stars Aditya Roy Kapur as the lead opposite her along with Anil Kapoor and Kunal Kemmu. Ever-so-sweet and warm, the Baaghi actress says that she agreed to be a part of the film after a ten minute narration of the story! Well, with a compelling premise like that, we aren’t surprised.
In the film, Disha plays Sara, a free-spirited girl who is on a mission to live her best life. Sara wants to undo her fears and has a list of things she wants to achieve that she’s always been afraid to try. One such thing is to jump from the top of a cliff, into the ocean. She and Aditya (who plays Advait) actually jump from the cliff in one scene in the film, and oh it looks so liberating and fun. But little do we know what went behind that jump.
Speaking to us, Disha says that she actually feared heights and was looking forward to getting over that fear with this particular scene. But unfortunately, it was quite a rocky experience for her.
She elaborates:
I wanted to get over my fear of jumping from heights into an ocean or a river. And I thought I would overcome it, but I fell very badly and hurt my head during the filming because the surface was very uneven. So if anything, I am even more terrified of it now. I hope that one day I’ll be able to brave through this.
Well, that’s quite unfortunate, we hope so too! But how easy she and Aditya made the scene look, right? Ask her about her crackling chemistry with her co-star and she says he was great fun to work with.
She adds:
He is very supportive and a great actor. It’s easy to work with him him, you always get the right vibe and reactions from him while acting, We connected from day one and became buddies, so it was loads of fun.
Well, for those who have watched the film, we are sure it did translate on screen, right?
On the work front, Disha is all set to star opposite Salman Khan in Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai and is also signed on to play the lead in the film KTina, produced by Ekta Kapoor.
