Sara Ali Khan has been super busy promoting her upcoming movie Love Aaj Kal co-starring Kartik Aaryan and they look pretty darn good together. However, I’m super curious about how this Imitiaz Ali directorial is going to turn out, since the OG initially starred Deepika Padukone and Sara’s papa dearest Saif Ali Khan *pretty big shoes to fill*. The fashion in the movie was noticeably different the first time around but remained quirky all the same. Given Sara’s promotional looks I forecast that her movie looks might also be print heavy with a whole lot of quirky styling.
Lakshmi Lehr of Style Cell styled Sara in a black gunjee with fluorescent pink text across her chest. This gunjee was paired with a zebra print skirt with floral embellishment from Papa Don’t Preach By Shubika. She squared of the look with a stack of bracelets and neon orange, strappy sandals.
Sara’s makeup was subtle with light pink eye shadow and kohl-lined eyes. Wavy hair with the addition of a bright, pink hair extension and pink nails rounded off her look. The hair extension totally reminded me of when I was inspired and enamoured by Avril Lavigne and her punk-rocker, chic style.
Firstly, polka dots are clearly making a come back and I love it. Secondly, she is nailing the print on print trend with this Dhruv Kapoor ensemble. What’s interesting is that it comes paired with a pair of shorts instead of trousers which would have been a sensory overload. Lakshmi styled this look with a pair of neon green and black ombré shoes. A multi-coloured, wait-belt amped up the vibe of this ensemble.
For her glam, she kept it simple with a fresh face and let her hair loose with effortless waves. And to make her fingers pop, she opted for black nail paint.
Lakshmi Lehr styled Sara in a printed, mini dress from Shivan & Narresh. This beachy dress that features two different types of prints is united by a floral, embellished belt that cinches at the waist. She’s definitely bringing sexy back with this backless number. The beaded detailing along the halter neckline seamlessly matched the ankle-strap on her heels.
Sara has the tendency to sport a flawless base with barely-there makeup, but this time she adds a pop of colour to her eyes with a red, smokey eye. I like how her half-up and half-down, wavy hair looked with this outfit.
